Chapter 01

The Scan

The body is read, not just measured.

The Premise

Measurements alone are not enough. A number cannot tell you how a shoulder slopes, how a body moves, or where a garment must give. The Scan reads the body as a whole — its posture, proportion, balance, and rhythm — to create a pattern that belongs to one person alone.

What We Read

Five Dimensions

01

Posture

How you stand reveals where a garment must give and where it must hold.

02

Proportion

Torso to leg, shoulder to waist, arm to torso — proportion determines cut.

03

Shoulder Line

The slope and width of the shoulder dictate how a jacket hangs.

04

Waist Position

Where the body narrows defines where the garment should follow.

05

Movement

A garment must serve how you walk, sit, reach, and live.

Body Memory

A Wardrobe That Learns

The Scan creates a body memory — a record that informs every future garment. As your wardrobe grows, each piece benefits from what came before. Fit improves with continuity. The wardrobe becomes more intelligent over time.
