Charcoal Flannel
The third layer that isn’t a jacket: a brushed wool overshirt cut on a shirt block but a size fuller through the chest and armhole, so it goes over a knit without binding. Collar left unfused so it falls soft — a stiff collar is what makes an overshirt look like a shirt worn wrongly.

- Two flapped chest pockets; side-seam gussets to take the strain of a hem left open
- Squared-off hem to wear untucked, with a slight step at the side seam
